Number 1 Gallery is proud to present the series of Thai painting by the artist Chatchawan Rodklongtan “The Moral Precept” .The works represent the working style of contemporary Thai painting, yet still uphold the Thai uniqueness. By combining the artist’s personal thoughts and imagination to the depiction of dharma conundrums, we can see the works portray something more than the familiar style of work concerning the life of the Buddha or architecture. Through his works, we can witness the artist’s faith for Buddhism, the representation of the path to core meaning of life, the fact of life—the birth, the living and the eventual ending of every being.

            1. Buddhism Destination: the projection of the story of the life of the Buddha through the contemporary style of
                Thai painting.
            2. Dharma Destination: the selection of parts of Buddhism belief together with the portrayal of the idea of the fact of
life—the birth, the living and the ultimate ending of life through the representation of shapes, mass and volume,
under the warm and peaceful atmosphere.

The 2 Destinations lead us to the The Destination of happiness, the way of happiness could be seen in his works.
