Within the realm of Tebster, artist JAYOTO constructs not merely a virtual landscape but an arena of encounter — where memory, pop culture, and echoes of art history converge. Each work is less a depiction than a resonance: an energy vibrating through every line and color, refusing stillness.
Inspired by comics, popular cinema, animation, and the solemn corridors of museums, JAYOTO transforms these fragments into a language at once incisive and vivid. His hybrid characters are not simply figures; they are vessels of paradox — embodying the tension between absurdity and gravity, between sociability and solitude.
This exhibition does not merely juxtapose “high art” and “street art.” Rather, it seeks to dissolve the divide altogether, proposing a shared imaginative space where the exceptional and the everyday find harmony in coexistence.
At its heart, Tebster: Impressions of Damage is a chronicle of our times: a meditation on fragility and force, the delicate threshold between the world as it is and the world as we imagine it to be.
Tebster ศิลปิน JAYOTO ได้สร้างสรรค์โลกเสมือนที่มิได้เป็นเพียงฉากเหนือจริง หากแต่เป็นพื้นที่แห่งการตีความและการเผชิญหน้าระหว่างความทรงจำ วัฒนธรรมป๊อป และร่องรอยของศิลปะในประวัติศาสตร์ ผลงานแต่ละชิ้นจึงมิได้เพียงถ่ายทอดภาพ หากเป็นการบันทึกพลังงานอันไม่หยุดนิ่ง ที่สั่นสะเทือนอยู่ในทุกเส้นสายและสีสัน
แรงบันดาลใจจากคอมิก ภาพยนตร์ยอดนิยม แอนิเมชัน และการเดินทางท่ามกลางพิพิธภัณฑ์ — ทั้งหมดนี้ถูกแปรรูปเป็นภาษาใหม่ที่เฉียบคมและรุนแรงบนผืนผ้าใบ คาแรกเตอร์ไฮบริดที่ JAYOTO สร้างขึ้นจึงมิใช่ตัวละครธรรมดา หากเป็น “ร่างแทน” ของความสัมพันธ์อันย้อนแย้งระหว่างความไร้สาระกับความจริงจัง ระหว่างการเข้าสังคมกับการโดดเดี่ยว
นิทรรศการครั้งนี้มิได้เพียงหยิบยกความขัดแย้งระหว่าง “ศิลปะชั้นสูง” กับ “ศิลปะสามัญ (street & Graffti Art) หากแต่เปิดประตูสู่บทสนทนาที่กว้างขวางกว่านั้น — ว่าความพิเศษและความธรรมดาอาจอยู่ร่วมกันอย่างกลมกลืนได้บนพื้นที่เดียวของจินตนาการ
