KRIT NGAMSOM (b. 1983)
Krit Ngamsom
creates mixed-media and kinetic sculptures from found objects, everyday
materials, mechanical devices, and light. Drawing on childhood memories and
rural popular culture, he transforms familiar objects through humour, play, and
unexpected shifts in meaning.
In Already
Mades, presented at Number 1 Gallery in 2011, he reinterpreted iconic works
from Western art history through modest materials and local references. His
playful acts of appropriation question artistic originality, cultural value, and
the boundaries between art and ordinary life.
