PROMWONG (b. 1994)
Leela
Promwong creates richly detailed oil paintings that combine fantasy imagery
with social observation. Using predators and prey as metaphors for human
relationships, she examines inequality, power, wealth, and exploitation within
systems of patronage.
In Patronage
System, presented at Number 1 Gallery in 2016, theatrical scenes of fantastical
creatures reveal how authority is exercised over the vulnerable, transforming
social criticism into vivid visual narratives.

ลีลา พรหมวงศ์ สร้างสรรค์จิตรกรรมสีน้ำมันที่ผสมผสานจินตนาการแฟนตาซีเข้ากับการสังเกตสังคม โดยใช้ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้ล่ากับเหยื่อเป็นอุปมาถึงความเหลื่อมล้ำ อำนาจ เงินตรา และการเอารัดเอาเปรียบภายในระบบอุปถัมภ์
