PHADUNGSAK KHEAWPONG (b. 1994)
Phadungsak Kheawpong creates theatrical oil
paintings that combine techniques associated with Baroque and Renaissance art
with symbols drawn from contemporary life. Human figures, animals, sacred
objects, and fragments of architecture gather within mysterious staged scenes
that blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.
Across Assumed, Imaginary Land, and Scenario,
his paintings examine how human beings construct truth, belief, power, and
desire. By bringing past and present, East and West, and the sacred and the
absurd into the same pictorial space, he invites viewers to question whether
the worlds before them are realities, illusions, or reflections of their own
perceptions.

ผดุงศักดิ์ เขียวผ่อง สร้างสรรค์จิตรกรรมสีน้ำมันที่มีลักษณะคล้ายฉากละคร โดยผสานเทคนิคแบบบาโรกและเรอเนสซองส์เข้ากับสัญลักษณ์จากชีวิตร่วมสมัย มนุษย์ สัตว์ วัตถุศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และเศษเสี้ยวของสถาปัตยกรรมปรากฏร่วมกันภายในฉากลึกลับ ซึ่งทำให้เส้นแบ่งระหว่างความจริงกับจินตนาการพร่าเลือน
จาก Assumed, Imaginary Land ถึง Scenario ผลงานของเขาสำรวจวิธีที่มนุษย์ประกอบสร้างความจริง ความเชื่อ อำนาจ และความปรารถนา ด้วยการนำอดีตกับปัจจุบัน ตะวันออกกับตะวันตก และสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์กับความไร้สาระมาอยู่ในพื้นที่เดียวกัน เขาชวนให้ผู้ชมตั้งคำถามว่าสิ่งที่เห็นคือความจริง ภาพลวง หรือเงาสะท้อนจากการรับรู้ของตนเอง
