A single color can have many different contradictory meanings according to changing times, social norms, ideals, and faith. When those colors merge and overlay on the canvas, their meaning changes into a new conversation with each dimension of mass and shadow that appears.

Number1Gallery proudly presents the exhibition "Depth" by Wisit Techasirikosol. This exhibition conveys the significant meaning of each color through the color's pigment, including contexts of society, culture, politics, and economics, with no 
hidden implications. 

Color not only affects human emotions, but it is also full of significance, constantly changing throughout time and reflecting diverse values depending on the period context. In this recent solo exhibition, Wisit conveys these messages through the
artistic process of abstract art, which not only focuses on expressing emotions but also meticulously plans every line, shape, and color, emphasizing the historical stories of color and connecting them to create multiple layers of color with free forms. This creates an overlapping dimension that reveals the changing meaning of color over time and in different social contexts. He also 
experimented with the nature and chemical reactions of color, the most essential artistic material, as well as many different kinds of color mixing products. He used industrial colors to create brilliant and distinct hues, and he created meaning from the mass of color by employing surfaces that were thicker and more substantial than those created with the impasto method in 
Western painting. This method seeks to highlight different characteristics of color in all dimensions, including weight, 
reflected light, and shadow on the canvas.

"Depth" is a challenge and invitation to the audience to experience the traces of color's shallowness, depth, and thickness, 
as well as to explore the complexities and meanings hidden inside what is called 'color' from Wisit Techasirikosol's perspective.

แอบแฝงอยู่เบื้องหลัง

สี ไม่เพียงแต่มีอิทธิพลกับความรู้สึกของมนุษย์เท่านั้น หากแต่เต็มไปด้วยความหมาย ซึ่งถูกทับซ้อนจากการเปลี่ยนแปลง
ของช่วงเวลาและสะท้อนคุณค่าที่แตกต่างไปตามบริบทของยุคสมัย นิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งล่าสุดนี้ วิสิทธิ์ถ่ายทอดผ่าน
กระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะนามธรรมที่ไม่เพียงแต่มุ่งเน้นการแสดงออกของอารมณ์ความรู้สึก แต่ทุกเส้นสาย รูปทรง และสีสันถูกวางแผนมาเป็นอย่างดีจากการหยิบยกเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ของสี เชื่อมโยงสู่การสร้างชั้นสีด้วยรูปทรงอิสระ 
เพื่อให้เกิดเป็นมิติของการซ้อนทับและสะท้อนถึงความหมายของสีที่แปรผันตามกาลเวลาและบริบททางสังคม อีกทั้งทดลอง
กับธรรมชาติและปฏิกิริยาทางเคมีของสี ซึ่งเป็นวัตถุดิบทางศิลปะอันสำคัญที่สุด รวมถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ผสมสีชนิดต่าง ๆ โดยเลือกใช้
สีอุตสาหกรรมที่ให้สีสดและเด่นชัด ตลอดจนสร้างความหมายจากความเป็นปริมาตรของสี ด้วยการใช้พื้นผิวนูนหนาและ
หนักแน่นยิ่งกว่าเทคนิค Impasto ในงานจิตรกรรมตะวันตก เพื่อขับเน้นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวของสีในทุกมิติของ
น้ำหนักและแสงเงาตกกระทบที่ปรากฏบนผืนผ้าใบ

"Depth" จึงเปรียบเสมือนการท้าทายและเชื้อเชิญผู้ชมเข้าสู่การสัมผัสประสบการณ์จากร่องรอยของความตื้น ลึก หนา บาง 
ของสีสัน เพื่อเป็นการสำรวจถึงนัยยะและความหมายที่ซ่อนอยู่ในสิ่งที่เรียกว่า 'สี' ผ่านมุมมองของ วิสิทธิ์ เตชสิริโกศล
