Jakkapong Thapkoa (b. 1993)
Jakkapong
Thapkoa explores the inner forces that shape human thought and behaviour,
particularly desire, attachment, delusion, and the recurring cycle of emotional
conflict. Drawing from Buddhist philosophy, Traibhumi cosmology, and
traditional Thai imagery, he constructs densely layered scenes in which human
figures, symbolic creatures, and fragments of imagined worlds overlap and
transform.
His vibrant
compositions move between beauty and unease. Bodies gather, struggle, embrace,
and dissolve into one another, reflecting the instability of the subconscious
and humanity’s continual negotiation with love,
greed, anger, and delusion. Beneath their seductive colours and intricate
surfaces, the paintings invite viewers to examine the impulses and prejudices concealed
within the mind.
Through
Subconsciousness and The Four Distortions of Judgment, presented at Number 1
Gallery in 2024 and 2026, Jakkapong has developed a distinctive visual language
that brings inherited Buddhist thought into dialogue with contemporary
psychological and social experience.

จักรพงษ์ เทพเกาะ สำรวจพลังภายในที่กำหนดความคิดและพฤติกรรมของมนุษย์ โดยเฉพาะความปรารถนา ความยึดติด ความลุ่มหลง และวัฏจักรของความขัดแย้งทางอารมณ์ เขานำปรัชญาพุทธศาสนา คติไตรภูมิ และภาพแทนจากศิลปะไทยมาสร้างเป็นฉากอันซับซ้อน ซึ่งร่างกายมนุษย์ สัตว์ในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ และเศษเสี้ยวของโลกในจินตนาการทับซ้อนและแปรเปลี่ยนเข้าหากัน
องค์ประกอบสีสันสดเข้มของศิลปินเคลื่อนไหวอยู่ระหว่างความงดงามกับความกระอักกระอ่วน ร่างกายรวมตัว ต่อสู้ โอบกอด และหลอมละลายเข้าหากัน สะท้อนความไม่มั่นคงของจิตใต้สำนึกและการต่อรองกับความรัก ความโลภ ความโกรธ และความหลงที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างไม่สิ้นสุด ภายใต้สีสันอันเย้ายวนและพื้นผิวที่เต็มไปด้วยรายละเอียด ผลงานชักชวนให้ผู้ชมย้อนพิจารณาแรงปรารถนาและอคติซึ่งซ่อนอยู่ภายในจิตใจของตนเอง

Gallery ในปี พ.ศ. 2567 และ 2569 จักรพงษ์ได้พัฒนาภาษาทัศนศิลป์เฉพาะตัวที่นำความคิดทางพุทธศาสนาซึ่งสืบทอดมาแต่เดิม เข้าสู่บทสนทนากับประสบการณ์ทางจิตวิทยาและสังคมร่วมสมัย
